Aimee Elizabeth Cain received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1993. She earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in 1997. While in law school, Aimee clerked for Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Harvey Schnieder, working on both civil and criminal matters.
Aimee was admitted to the California Bar in 1997, the New York Bar in 1998, and the North Carolina Bar in 2004. After being admitted to the New York Bar, she relocated from Los Angeles to practice in New York City law firms Wachtel & Maysr, LLP and Moses & Singer, LLP.
Since moving to North Carolina, Aimee has served as a partner at Black, Grossman & Cain and later opened her own firm, The Law Offices of Aimee E. Cain, in 2011. During this time, she also served as a Teen Court Judge, became a certified mediator in both family and Superior Court cases, and served on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Having gone through a divorce herself, Aimee discovered that one of her greatest strengths was her ability to understand the pain and emotional toll that the end of a marriage can bring. This personal experience inspired her to dedicate her legal career to the practice of family law. She has now been practicing family law for 28 years across three states.
Aimee was born in Concord, North Carolina, but moved to New York City as a teenager. She has traveled extensively, lived in Europe for several years, and continues to enjoy exploring the world, trying new foods, and learning about different cultures.
People Fact: Aimee is also an oil painter and enjoys playing various musical instruments.
